Our Story
Grandma Maxine Bosselman wasn't always a grandma, but she was always a good cook. That's still true today when you talk about the quality of food at Grandma Max's Restaurant.
It all started back in 1948. You could find Grandma Maxine on old US Highway 30, east of Grand Island, Nebraska at the Bosselman & Eaton Truck Stop. This place was developing a reputation for service, a quiet place to rest and great food. Grandpa Fred pumped the fuel and did the truck repairs, while Grandma cooked the best hometown food around.
Those same principles are true today. Good food and quality service are the foundation of our business, ever since that first customer stopped at the Bosselman & Eaton Truck Stop back in 1948. You may rest assured, great service and hometown cooking is what you'll find at Grandma Max's Restaurant. Grandma wouldn't put her name on it if it weren't true. So, we invite you to select your personal favorites, and enjoy the best it's a tradition at Grandma Max's Restaurant.
